BLUE GOLD SYD INT WINE COMPETITION WINNER 2008! Perfect, hot days, lower alc just terrific every day quality Rose to side into the fridge and pop the top as soon as the guests come around. Nice levels of Cabernet fruit with balancing acidity levelling off with some tannin and structure that makes it a much better drink for summer than everyday lolly water Rose wines by a million miles- Great value here to guys and girls so go berserk and stick a couple of boxes in the cellar straight away before it's all gone!
57% Cabernet Sauvignon 43% Sangiovese
Intense fruit flavours of raspberry and redcurrant, with a long lingering mouth feel balanced by some Sangiovese savouriness.
13% Alc/Vol
Tasted at a staff tasting session/lunch, the Blackwing Cabernet Sangiovese Rose 2007 was found to have a bold candy apple and turkish delight bouquet. Drinking with the red berry sweetness expected of this varietal, it was deemed a very good buy at $6.99 and perfect for lawn tennis, if that's your thing. Taster: BK
