Yering Station Yarra Edge Cabernet is an intoxicating blend and following almost 9 Years of being hidden away from sight carefully stored for perfection the beauty is now ready for release. An attractive dark medium red-purple in colour the primary bouquet offers up dense ripe red blackberry fruit and gentle oak, the length is just perfect now showing a medium-bodied palate, which is such a relief after such huge big whacks of red wine lately, more in the elegant Bordeaux style with a distinctly savoury finish. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc.
The vines were originally planted in 1983 and the picked at less than 2 tonnes to the acre the concentrations are perfect with 22 months in French Oak. The secret is now out, so be quick and stock up.
