Mud House Sauvignon Blanc 2011 |
| |
|
|
A perennial award winer, Mud House Sauvignon Blanc is the bench mark for affordable Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.
Colour: Pale straw.
Aroma: A vibrant nose reminiscent of spring with snow pea and passionfruit aromas.
Palate: A focussed and concentrated palate with crisp grapefruit acidity and bold tropical flavours.
Bud break was late in September and was followed by a warm frost-free spring. Adequate rainfall and warm temperatures meant that the shoots grew quickly and flowering was earlier than normlal. From February onwards, the season cooled and although harvest began a few days earlier than normal in mid March, it didn't complete until 20th April.
30% of this wine was sourced from our Woolshed Vineyard in the upper Wairau Valley while the remainder was carefully selected from grower blocks in the Wairau, Ure and Awatere Valleys of Marlborough.
