This Cabernet Sauvignon was a ripper from the word go; yummy on all fronts. A bright and luscious wine with cassis and violets on the nose, hints of spice and leather from oak and long legs left in the glass. The palate is awash with plush rich fruit and stays around for ages making you think of Bowen Estate wines in a perfect vintage year.
Cabernet can often take a number of years to develop and meld but this big beast is already so choc-a-block full of all things nice it simply insists "I am here - drink me!"
The burst of rich dark plum and cherry is beautifully weighted with light white pepper and some allspice. The acidity is well balanced and will help this wine linger for years to come along with good oak use.
