Katnook Founder's Block Cabernet Sauvignon 2008 |

A legacy of the devastating frosts that crippled vineyards across the Coonawarra, was that the wines that did get made (yield was 25% of average) were the best of the best. Intense fruit flavours condensed into die hard grapes, selected for the premier labels only.
Colour :: Deep plum red with hints of purple.
Nose :: Appealing dark berry fruit with hints of light dusty plum and elements of regional aromatic mint. Subtle oak notes of vanillin complement the aromatics.
Palate :: A generously structured palate with dark berries, dusty plum and light mint complementing the ripe fruit and vanillin oak flavours. Fine grained, softly assertive tannins add complexity to the lingering savoury fruit.
