Moreto, Trincadeira, and Castelão
The light bodied nature of this gentle wine shows off as being a bit rustic. It has aromas of black fruits if the forest and is surrounding by an earthiness that is appealing. There is a touch of oak on the nose too. On the palate this wine has flavors of raspberry, cherry, red currants and hints of vanilla, good balance between fruit acid and tannins finishing quick.
It falls into the category of a "great every day drinking wine" and is perfectly suited light meats with red sauce. It wouldn't mind sitting beside a pizza too.
