  Bleasdale Generations Shiraz 2012

Bleasdale Generations Shiraz .gif

Another perfect example from Bleasdale in Langhorne creek! A Shiraz to blow your mind on a very limited budget. I particularly enjoy being able to offer seriously good value , premium quality shiraz that sits so well at the $40-$50 range making this price simply excellent value all round.

Brassy and beautifully bold this wine is choc-a-block full of dark berries and chocolate mocha with wonderful hints of pepper and spice and although drinking superbly now - will sit comfortably in the cellar for years to come rewarding those that stock up on it while it is available. The tannins meld wonderfully with fruit to add real structure to the deep satisfying fruit weight and will continue alongside the wine to develop nicely at all times.

Cheers.

Awards and Accolades

GOLD MEDAL - Perth Royal Wine Show 2013
SILVER MEDAL - Sydney Wine Show 2014

96 Points - James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion
"Deep purple-crimson; takes over where Bremerview finished, amplifying all the dark berry fruits, spices and licorice of that wine, tannins and oak to match. Is one of those rare full-bodied shirazs that retain elegance and shape, and will live for generations to come."

2010 Vintage

93+ - Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front
"Thumping red from Bleasdale in Langhorne Creek.
This is a hedonistic beast. It has a swagger of tannin too. Mouthfilling flavours of plum and tar, mint and bitter, chocolatey oak. Big but balanced and well integrated. Knife and fork territory. The tannin is the thing: it’s so fine and yet so insistent. It’s an excellent example of the style."
