Just released - here you go! A premium producer had a small batch only of their single estate Shiraz meant for an overseas order. Simply put, just a wonderful big red Shiraz that simply has to be drunk to be appreciated for its simply outstanding value. Stick a label on it and have the most excellent pressie for all your staff and friends.
A voluptuous jammy nose of dark berry, spice and rhubarb introduces the latest wine to the premium section of the warehouse – another classy super Shiraz from the blossoming Bendigo region. On the palate there is a pitch perfect balance of spice, raspberry, plums, cherries and a hint of cinnamon. Finished with a lingering spice and smooth tannins, this vintage promises to build substantially on the well-earned reputation Central Victorian wines have been garnering over the last five years.
Within the Bendigo region, land conditions include volcanic plains, alluvial flood plains, rolling granite hills and sedimentary rises. In the volcanic plains in the Campaspe River catchment area, area soils are red gradational and duplex. In the flood plain areas, brown loamy soils predominate, while in the granitic areas coarse uniform sandy soils are found on rocky crests and predominantly yellow duplex soils are found on slopes. - www.bendigowine.org.au
