Some new, 'Best from the west' wine here folks. A quality producer who has got better and better over the last 3 years in particular showing all good skills at winemaking, and viticulture.
An alluring deep ruby with purple hues is a great sign to start the show. The bouquet shows juicy ripe blackberry, blackcurrant and plums, subtle white pepper. The medium to full bodied palate mirrors the bouquet, with an elegant, fine tannin finish. Overall a wine that is made to show al the contributions of the process, to be enjoyable alongside food or a suitable companion for thoughts, laughs and other personal foibles.
Restrained savoury bouquet with sage and thyme framing the red fruit; medium-bodied with ample flesh, and fine drying tannin; even, harmonious and surprisingly long; a real sleeper with potential. Screwcap.
