Pale straw-coloured with green hues this Prosecco has a nose of citrus, melon, green apple, almonds and honey. The front palate bursts open with dry, delicately flavoured bubbles. A crisp but not overly acid palate supports the bubbles through to the finish.
La Zona Prosecco is a great aperitivo and is also an ideal accompaniment to seafood particularly oysters, scallops, and crab.
James Halliday says: The attraction of prosecco to those who drink it is the fresh palate and crisp, dry finish. In a sense, it serves a similar purpose to manzanilla in the food context: it simply doesn't compete with the food, but, of course, is more proactive than sparkling water, and this is distinctly more than that. 90 -James halliday
Nick Stock says: A crisp and fragrant prosecco that offers a terrific alternative to the regular domestic sparkling chardonnay and pinot noir wines, this has fresh, mountain-like verve and lively fruits. Apples and bosc pears, a little musky sweet perfume and a crisp, easy finish Very drinkable stuff. The Good Wine Guide
WINESTATE says: Leafy, floral, perfumed nose with a light citrusy edge. Mouthfilling sweet palate with a balancing citrus zing from the acid. Very good example of the style. Rating: 4/5 *
