"Very good value." 90 Points - James Halliday, Wine Companion.
Sweeping highland vistas, ancient granite boulders, cloudless days and cool nights; 490 metres is the elevation of the winery above sea level.
The Strathbogie Ranges are part of the Central Victoria wine scape. The harsh and unforgiving grounds produce wines of defined character and strength.
This wine was fermented at 12˚celsius and in stainless steel tanks to preserve primary fruit flavours. Two yeasts were used, Maurivin Elegance and EC1118, because they help promote the development of lifted aromas in the Chardonnay grapes and allow the fruit to express itself. This wine was matured using new French oak.
Fresh, fine and fruity this wine is light straw in colour with a slight green hue. Aromas of white peach and fruit salad play with notes of citrus blossom. The palate is fresh with zippy stone fruit flavours and a long clean finish.
