I know the world is aflame with desire for drier styles from dare I say the Fair Isles to our east? But, put simply it is imperative to have a mixed cellar for all the right reasons and I am drinking so much more of the this luscious varietal wine because it is simply bigger and better with a whole range of foods. Here you have a ripper, perfectly developed, well weighted Chardonnay with barrel maturation. It is appealing on all fronts and this wine has all the elements of decidedly gorgeous background nutty, cashew and spicy citrus flavours all rolling around your tongue in no rush to find an escape route. There is an argument for elegance and simplicity, buy you will also have to admit after buying this wine that the full monty covers all your desires and leaves you wanting more, much more. So, here is the chance to enjoy yourself at a cracking price and engage your soul, mind and sensory connectors for a beautiful lengthy ride.
