Lenton Brae Wilyabrup Chardonnay 2009 |
| |
"Fresh straw-green; an intense yet elegant example of Margaret River chardonnay, its nectarine and grapefruit flavours seamlessly integrated with barrel ferment French oak; has great line and length. 95 points" - James Halliday
This release varies only slightly but significantly from previous years. It comprises about 30% of the 'Bernard' clones, originally sourced from Burgundy. Their inclusion brings lifted aromatics with a finer balance and flavour complexity to the palate at a lower alcohol level, complementing the power and texture of the 'Gin Gin' clone.
