The 2014 Chardonnay is superbly balanced – lovely, varietal honeydew melon, peach fruit characters, some pineapple/tropical fruit undercurrents all working in symmetry with toasty/spicy French and American oak – none dominating; stylish and elegant.
Given this style that has been reflected across the more recent Chardonnay vintages it is not surprising that we are seeing a resurgence of interest in their Estate releases of the varietal.
