92 Points & Top 100 Wines - Adelaide Advertiser.
The taste of Summer in one delectable bottle! From the pristine terrain of the Adelaide Hills comes a wine tailor made for ice buckets the country over this Summer. Perfect for watching cyclists roll by and clouds flirt with the horizon, Pike & Joyce - two iconic Australian wine families - have put their collective experience together and conjured a delicious, minerally wine, from some of Australia's finest grapes.
Appearance: Medium to pale green, yellow tints.
Aroma: Typically subtle notes of stone fruit , pear and spice along with a little minerality.
Palate: The wine is delicately flavoured possessing subtle nectarine and pear and has a slightly creamy texture that sits gently on the palate. Bright mineral acidity maneuvers the wine away from finishing fat or heavy.
Summary: A nice delicate Pinot Gris without the oiliness or highish alcohol that is sometime associated with the variety. Drinks nicely now, but past experience suggest it will improve with a year’s bottle age.
