Red Hill Estate Pinot Grigio 2010 |

Delicate restrained nose of complexity with pear, apple, musk and blossom. A long creamy textured palate with a mixture of pear, lemon and musk with bright acidity. Will drink best while young.
This wine is a blend of fruit from several of our vineyards across the Mornington Peninsula. Each vineyard produces subtly different characters giving the overall blend greater complexity.
Handpicked fruit is destemmed, chilled and then pressed. A portion of the ferment occurs in old French barriques to provide complexity, texture and mid-palate creaminess. The remainder is fermented in stainless tanks at cool temperatures. Upon completion of primary fermentation wine is allowed to settle and remains on lees for 6 months prior to blending and bottling.
Pinot Grigio is mostly grown in Italy and the Alsace in France, where they produce styles ranging from delicate and high acid to big, rich and oily. It is a grape that thrives in the cool maritime climate of the Mornington Peninsula.
