Petaluma Riesling 2009 |
| |
This is a very impressive riesling that typifies the best qualities of Clare yet is superbly restrained. The nose suggests limes and apricot with a hint of minerality, and the palate is very long and steely, begging for a few years in the cellar. It is certainly one of the finest Petaluma rieslings of all, and could turn out to be the best ever!
James Halliday - "The mature vineyard is the key to the consistency of this wine. The palate has considerable depth and intensity to its array of ripe citrus fruit flavours, the finish well balanced. Screwcap. 12.5% alc. Rating 94 Drink 2019 $30 Date Tasted Sep 09 "
