It's raining, it's pouring, this Auldstone blend is rip-roaring! A delightful blend from a wonderful Victorian producer. Glenrowan is home to century-old wineries and is blessed with many historical sites, and where Australia's most notorious bushranger Ned Kelly fought his last battle in 1880. Shiraz is the traditional red wine of the area, which can achieve opulence and power unequalled by any other part of Australia. Cabernet Sauvignon is a more recent arrival than Shiraz, but makes wines of only slightly less heroic dimensions. It appears as a 100 per cent varietal wine and in various blends.
Enticing aromas of chocolate and rich red stone fruits. This wine has an amazing mouth-feel, with plums and rich dark chocolate, and a wickedly spicy finish.
I rate this 88/100
