Hinton Estate Hill Country Pinot Noir 2008 |

|
Another rich ruby red vintage with silky tannins, good length and a generous aftertaste. It is a medium bodied wine with hints of delicious savoury oak and just a touch of spice. A very approachable Pinot Noir with sweet spicy aromas.
This wine has been specifically made to be more approachable, while still young and fresh. During the fermentation process great care was taken with temperature control to ensure only lighter smoother tannins were extracted from the skins. Likewise the wine was only stored in French oak barrels for 8 months rather than the usual 12 to ensure the oak flavours in the wine were not overpowering. These measures have combined to create a very smooth elegant Pinot Noir.
