Margaret River is a wonderful region with deep volcanic soils and giant eucalypt forests. This wine is equally impressive with huge flavour and bouquet. It captures intense plum and cherry fruit aromas with complex smoked meats and herbaceous, earthy, mushroom and briarwood. The palate is mouth filling and opulent with tobacco, leather, cedary oak and rich cassis flavours. The finish is long, clean and dry with a savoury aspect that welcomes hearty, slow cooked meals like braised beef casserole, lamb shanks or osso bucco. Robust, intense and demanding, enjoy it with good friends, great food and vigorous debate.
