Guigal Cotes du Rhone Rouge 2006 |
| |
|
|
50% Syrah, 40% Grenache, 10% Mourvèdre.
Deep dark red in colour. Shiny. Fresh fruits on the nose with red berries and spices. The palate is full, round and racy with rounded and smooth tannins. A full-bodied, rich and intensely aromatic wine. Overall the wine is full with a long finish and plenty of elegance and finesse due to the well balanced tannins and fruit.
89/100 - "Sensational value Rhone-style wine exhibiting perfumed mineral overtones with a fine, firmish tannin structure. Silky-smooth palate with cedary oak and spicy fruit. A mix of syrah, mourvedre and grenache. One of the best-value examples of this style you will find. I could drink truckloads of this stuff." - Ray Jordan, The West Australian, 29 August 2009.
