Zarita McLaren Vale Shiraz 2008 |

|
Produced from a season with plenty of McLaren Vale positives , being excellent length of vintage, cool nights and plenty of summer heat to ripen the grapes, this was always going to be a good year if the winemakers were hasty in beating the heat before late vintage. This wine displays all the iconic hallmarks of a great Shiraz - lifted aromatic notes, engaging dark fruits, spice and lovely fine tannins. The length is superbly satisfying and the texture has you screaming for more due to it delivering a fantastic wake up punch of excellent core fruit strength. Grab some good friends to really enjoy some premium steak, hollandaise sauce, a fresh rocket salad and revel in the lovely tannins, indecent length for superb indulgence on every level.
This is McLaren Vale at its most enjoyable. Fit for Princess', Princes and paupers alike.
I had this fantastic new label to use and knew exactly where to source the wine from. After a fabulous trip recently to McLaren Vale to review the now bottled 2008 vintage, I saw so much really good wine I was amazed. I new this was going to slip through the warehouse in a minute after laying my hands on the balance of some premium McLaren Vale fruit, beautifully made and If I took the lot , would be at a fraction of its retail price. Zarita: Hebrew for 'Princess' (and also a pretty decent racehorse).
