Barwang Tumbarumba Chardonnay 2008 |

|
Colour: Pale straw with light green hues.
Aroma: Intensely lifted white peach and rockmelon aromas are supported by gunflint and pencil-shaving characters, derived from the use of high quality French oak.
Palate: The palate reveals rockmelon and tropical fruit flavours, including mango and hints of pineapple. Clean, fresh fruit characters combine beautifully with restrained oak flavours and balanced natural acidity, giving the wine great structure and length.
'A restrained bouquet speaking of a high altitude birth; lemon lies at the heart, with an enticing array of savoury mineral elements and spice, not least of all a touch of anise; the palate is linear and tightly wound, with tangy acid setting the light-bodied finish off harmoniously. Screwcap. 13% alc. Rating 94 Drink 2016' - James Halliday
