Colour: Brilliant pale straw yellow.
Nose: A complex and enticing aroma with nuances of white peach, quince and apple pie, with preserved lemon, malt and a faint spiciness.
Palate: Malty, biscuity, baked pear flavours with a mealy mineral feel, this is a complex wine with a soft yet finely focussed palate.
STAFF TASTING: A silky, buttery Chardonnay with omnipresent oak, smoked nuts and stone fruit, laced with a palate of lemon and pear. Another strong Chardonnay under $10. Tasters: TE, BK.
