Storm Ridge Chardonnay 2006 |
| |
|
|
Chardonnay from the Yarra Valley was picked at optimum ripeness, the fruit was anaerobically crushed and pressed at low temperatures to retain maximum fruit characters.
After ferment the wine remained in stainless steel to settle and soften and was then bottled.
Volumes were down, but berries were small and packed with concentrated fruit flavours.
The resultant wine exhibits lovely peach and melon flavours on the nose and the front palate. The middle palate is all fruit driven with more tropical fruit flavours.
The back palate finishes long and smooth and with gentle acidity.
Food Suggestions Salads, Risottos or lighter pasta dishes, antipasto or seared atlantic salmon.
