Tisdall Henry's Crossing Classic Dry White 2010 |
| |
|
|
Sauvignon (60%), Semillon (30%), Chardonnay (10%).
Tisdall “Henry’s Crossing” range is a tribute to Henry Hopwood, founder of Echuca in 1854 and his establishment of a punt (ferry) across the great Murray River at the point of where the town of Echuca now lies. Grapes have been sourced from Tisdall’s Rosbercon Vineyard, a single vineyard site that has some of the oldest plantings of Cabernet Sauvignon in the region.
Based on the classic Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon blends that have captivated drinkers in many parts of the world, this wine takes these lifted aromas and flavours of lime, citrus and asparagus and partners them with slightly richer flavours of Chardonnay. The resultant wine is lifted on both nose and taste, but has strength of character on the palate to partner any meal.
