McLaren Vale shiraz... need we say anything else? Probably not, but we just have to! This is a delightfully crafted wine and produces the goods on all fronts at a price to go CRAZY about & fill your cellar for the next year. Big and spicy with delicious berries and a tannin that lingers until a Tuesday not to far away.
This wine probably won't be here Tuesday, ( don't say we did not warn you) so buy up now before the pain of disappointment fills your every being!
93 Points - $30 - Philip White, The Advertiser, April 19 2006 "John Gilbert's winemaking varies from the hairy and feral to the steely and fine, but there's always bulk personnality. This one's old-fashioned, warming, soulful and dignified. It's rich, smooth, plummy wine, shoring McLaren Vale's softness at its best. Gentle oak, deep fruit, very smooth texture and ultra-fine tannins sing in lovely harmony. It's a beauty."
Nose : herbaceousness.
Palate:Comment: A Finely balanced spicy example of McLaren Vale Shiraz with good middle palate concentration and good length.
Rating:Extremely high quality at an incredibly good price. Rob Geddes, MW
