Hungerford Hill Tumbarumba Chardonnay 2005 - Rating: 94
"Light straw-green; fragrant grapefruit and nectarine aromas; an elegant, intense, fruit-driven style; good length and focus, likewise oak handling."

Hungerford Hill Victoria Pinot Gris 2006 - Rating: 90
"Has more than average attitude and flavour, with notes of pear, lychee and strawberry."

Fishcage Shiraz Viognier 2005 - Rating: 90
"Aromatic, with viognier punching above its 5% contribution, as does the wine above its price; black cherry, plum and blackberry, with some spicy components."

Halliday rated winery
14% Alc/Vol and as Goldilocks said, "Just Right!" Mostly cool climate from Orange NSW Fruit this vibrant, crimson red, full-bodied soft fruit flavours with ripe sweet tannins and a long dry finish. Wine like this 'RED' style is designed to complement today’s lifestyle. It is fresh, lively, easy going and challenges the average. This Shiraz is designed for everyday drinking and is an excellent example of this style. The full-bodied palate has soft fruit flavours, with ripe sweet tannins and a long dry finish. Designed for drinking young, this wine can be enjoyed with a variety of red meat dishes or equally enjoyable on its own.

Victoria's first vineyard, Yering Station, is located in the 'heart' of the Yarra Valley & led by Chief Winemaker Tom Carson. Honoured with the prestigious `Winemaker of the Year’ at the International Wine and Spirit Competition in London, 2004. With blended styles like this showing a magnificent colour, depth of aromatic intensity and sublime flavours I ask the question where to next? This little smasher has licks of (66%) Cabernet and the balance spicy Shiraz all balanced beautifully with French Oak. A very long hot summer this year brought reduced berry size and accordingly some great zinging fruit intensity, which after some wonderful winemaking skills including hand plunging and open fermenters,  cellaring is now showing terrific wine complexity, engaging fine tannin structures and powerful penetrating finish and length. It is one of those lovely sunny afternoons here this weekend and I am off to get me a bottle of this as I contemplate the onset of winter, school fees and the prices charged by those two major grocery chains and enjoy my fortunate luck in having this value in the warehouse to enjoy all weekend, without a petrol docket!

Yummy! I was lucky to taste this HUGE wine pre release when in McLaren Vale early this year and ordered all I coud take. This wine ladles a seriously big serving of generous flavour, supple yet grippy tannin that such a fantastic vintage year provides the background for. With the stamp of very impressive ripe rich Black berry and spicy wild raspberries on the palate. This wine blows away many, many GOLD winning wines in the better trophy competitions every time and an absolute steal at this price! Last Yesr we sold the 2005 in a matter of weeks so I would advise you to be as quick as you can for your cellars benefit.
