GMH Vineyard Series - Rose 2005

The 2005 Rosé is made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from the Kuitpo Vineyard coming from another ripper of a vintage. The fruit picked was beautifully ripe with red berry fruits dominating the nose and palate. The grapes were crushed and left to soak on skins for only one day, before the juice was drained away and fermented. The result is a vibrant pink rosé, with a hint of spritz. This fun fruity wine is perfect chilled for the summer season.

Eye catching brilliant pink, the wine is clean, fresh and has an inviting berry fruit nose. Aromas of vanilla bean ice-cream and fresh strawberries leap from the glass. The palate is fresh and lively with a lovely creamy texture and some big, rich juicy cabernet characters powering through. The finish is long, lingering fruit flavours carry through the palate which finishes with firm tannins and a touch of sweetness. The perfect wine to enjoy on a spring or summers day. Rate 90/100
