This wine captures the essence of old world charm by limiting the bull dust and delivering from the first sip! 15% Alc Vol, It combines the intensity of traditional open vat fermenting and hand plunging with the elegance and lift of extended maturation in new oak. The colour is deep dark inky red with a huge Barossa bouquet of tangy mulberry, white pepper and hints of eucalyptus.
The mouthfeel is sublime, chunky with layers of gripping tannins, ripe jammy fruit and dusty spice and herbs. It’s a devine potpourri of exotic flavours with a long dry finish of licorice and savoury, smoky characters that balance the full alcohol.
It has the strength and structure to cellar for many years. Enjoy with a big, rich steak from a really good butcher, not one of those feeble supermarkets and blend the perfect hearty red wine sauce or mushroom base and have a bleeding field day all by your self!
The Barossa is a wonderful haven of glorious wine and food and Shiraz commands the highest accolades as you will see on opening this little treasure!
