So, you are after a Big, Satisfying Shiraz from the wonderful Barossa region in South Australia? Well, look no further as I have found a little beauty for you to add to the cellar for drink every night pleasure, whilst saving an absolute fortune.
Wonderful, rip roaring black Barossan, jammy fruit is the essence of this wine, delivering big luscious licks of blackberry and raspberry with some background toasty notes and a lovely lingering finish. Blended from a small batch mix of Barossa vineyards, this wine would suitably mix with a wine in the $30 category and hold its head up firm and proud.
Some winemakers get it so right and produce a wine that is refreshingly way above expectations delivering fruit, structure and intensity! With a mix of seasoned Oak, this little ravisher shows the beauty of mostly French oak marrying delightfully alongside the rich fruit to merge into a hedonistic delight for one and all. Buy a bucket load for the cellar and rejoice later.
Staff Tasting: Plummy fruit kneeded by a toffee apple and sprinkled with spice. A good score at this price and one to look forward to in a couple of years. Tasters: BK, MM, CN, TF.
