Predominantly Mitchelton fruit, this wine has and always seems to over deliver at this price point. The consistent state of affairs is to push forward a generous and luscious palate of fruit spice and kirsch balanced by chewy chocolaty tannins finished with a dusting of ground coffee.
Fermentation: Temperature controlled (22-28 degrees) with regular pumping over to ensure full colour and fl avour extraction from the skins. Oak Maturation: Approximately 15% new French and 85% 2-5 yr old French and American oak for 15 months to impart mocha, vanilla and spice fl avours. Some parcels remained in tank after fermentation to retain pure fruit characters. These batches were then combined with the oak components to create the final blend.
Overall, very well made a delight to open and refreshingly pleasing to almost everyone.
