***** Medal Winner *****
This wine has those grassy, subtle, herbaceous flavours of Semillon with the spicy, mineral, asparagus & herb characters of cool-climate Sauvignon Blanc. Western Australia seems to thrive on getting this blend right nearly all the time to produce a refreshing, easy drinking wine with a lingering palate. Perfect for the summer months as a starter with food or sessionable all day at races. |

| The lively intensity of tangy green apples and tropical fruit follows onto the palate with refreshing acidity and a long dry finish. A wonderful, aromatic wine, it’s perfect with fresh grilled snapper and green leafy salad, it’s also well suited to Thai, Indian and fragrant Asian cuisine. Or simply enjoy the fresh, vibrant flavours with friends and bring conversation to life. I love the aromatic varieties and I hope this Chenin Blanc brings joy to your table Chenin Blanc is a challenging variety, but with the right vineyard conditions and in the hands of a perfectionist winemaker it produces a powerfully intense, aromatic, dry white wine. 2007 was a demanding and very low yielding vintage. Carefully selected vineyards and pristine winemaking have combined to create this fragrantly flavoured, 100% McLaren Vale Chenin Blanc. It has a subtle, delicate straw colour and displays the distinct bouquet and freshness of green apples, lychee and grapefruit. |

Here is a beauty that shows the real benefit of this awesome WA blend the blend the right way around. Opens the batting with a pale straw & slight green tinge offering a glimpse of intrigue. The bouquet is vibrant offering fresh, tropical fruit salad aromas with, guava, lemon/lime and delicate herbal characters in the background. You have a wine best described as wonderfully rounded & medium bodied, the palate displays spicy tropical characters, zesty citrus flavours with a wonderful purity of fruit. An easy drinking ‘classic’ wine style – it is gathering some bottle age now and all the better for it as the clean and fruit driven style now shows some complexity with the Semillon gathering age. Overall a crisp acidity and a refreshing dry finish will wonderfully compliment seafood, Asian inspired wok tossed vegies and Thai style curries. The 2004 Vintage began mid-march – two weeks later than usual, after a cool spring and summer. This long cool ripening period made for excellent intensity and flavour development. The fruit was crushed, destemmed and chilled before pressing. The settled, clean juice was then fermented in stainless steel tanks to retain fresh varietal characteristics. The final components were then selected and assembled prior to a gentle fining, stabilisation and bottling under screw cap closure.

| The really smart thing about this wine is that it starts out all vibrant and fresh, the bouquet offering lively fruit aromas of quince, citrus fruits and dried herbs. Following some rest and maturation the varietal starts to develop a second life and the barrel maturation has added further complexity with restrained, toasty oak characters and hints of roasted cashews. The palate is generous and refined offering ripe pear and fresh grapefruit flavours with underlying bready/nutty characteristics. Beautifully structured, the fruit is balanced by crisp, integrated acidity, layered with a subtle creamy texture. You don't have to just love Semillon with age to enjoy this monster as it speaks to all drinkers on the level of quality hand picked fruit with loads of integrity and all the hard cellaring work has been done for you! |

Cellar Release- As they say the really good things in life don't come quickly or free!
Delightful golden straw colour greets the eye and promises luxury ahead. Exotic aromas of ripe peach, apricots and pears with a hint of spice all round. Love this style of Rhone blend exhibiting excellent weight across the breadth of the palate and develops as you savour the first tentative sip. Stone fruit and a wonderful creamy texture are the hallmarks of this wine and with French oak and a bigger than normal 14.2% Alc/Vol it all spells a recipe for success. If you are a lover of that Mitchelton Airstrip Rhone blend you are going to get very excited about this wine and love getting some at any price!

| In Australia Chenin Blanc is usually presented as a crisp, dry white wine with high acid and an intense fruit palate. Pale straw, highlighted by soft golden hues, there is a rich array of fresh pineapple, citrus and passionfruit aromas, providing an intense and vibrant bouquet. A medium bodied palate displays exquisite fruit intensity and freshness. Soft creamy textures are balanced by fine lemon acidity which carry the fruit characters. Ripper Summer wine! |

Well it takes more than just marketing spin to develop magnificent blended wines that have appeal and repurchase likeability from the consumer and this premium range from Hungerford Hill is all of that and more. The complex nose displays citrus aromas of Semillon with herbacious characters, stonefruit and melon of Sauvignon Blanc. The zesty citrus flavours and racy acidity of the Sauvignon Blanc are rounded out nicely by rich Semillon fruit flavours. A lower 12.5 % Alc is perfect for this racey little number and makes for a modern new world Sauvigon Blanc dominant style with freshness & soft crisp flavours. |

All together one of those drink all day style you never get sick of and the smack of the lips and request where did you get this from elicits the reach for the fridge door! Smashing tight and lively and wonderfully long in the mouth with grassy Semillon undertones giving good structure to the Sauvignon Blanc which makes as usual a great blend of the two from this region. |

Soft straw with green tinges and made from three terrific Varietals that are perfect for this time of year and as components of exceptional planning make terrific food matches. Sauvignon Blanc 45%, Semillon 39%,Viognier 16% the fruit was sourced from various regions throughout South Australia, with the majority from McLaren Vale region, Fleurieu Peninsula and the Adelaide Hills. Yes it has had some Oak Maturation: Selected Semillon and Viognier fruit parcels were fermented and matured in French oak barriques, which totalled 8% of the final blend. The remaining batches were fermented and matured in stainless steel tanks. A floral nose with powerful tropical fruits, honeysuckle and rockmelon. The Viognier portion adds tinned apricots and orange blossom notes , whilst barrel fermentation contributes to smoked almonds, vanillin and toasty aromas. The palate enjoys a fresh and juicy, weight, depth & texture. The acid is fine and delicate, contributing to a clean, crisp and persistent tropical fruit finish. Get some IN! |

The Christa Rolf Semillon comprises 100% Semillon from the Chri Ro Estate Vineyards in the Barossa Valley and the Western Ridge Vineyard in Marananga. The heat in February caused Baumés to rise with corresponding decrease in acidity. After the drought of 2003 , 2004 had an average winter rainfall. December was the hottest for 10 years, however at the start of 2004 the weather became mild and windy. January was the coolest since 1992 ,which was ideal for colour and flavour development. A hot February followed but then in March the Barossa experienced a true Indian Summer. VINIFICATION The grapes are tank pressed in individual parcels. There is no skin contact. After crushing the juice undergoes controlled cool fermentation in stainless steel. A portion of each is fermented in new and one-year old American oak for 5 months. Final blending, then bottling follows in October 2004. Christa’s approach is to “bring out the lemon fruit character make it balanced with no hollows, make the aroma lift, give it length and use a hint of oak”. The result is a flavoursome wine with lemon and lime crispness, hints of vanilla and nuts with a clean fresh finish.
WINEMAKERS COMMENT “A pale straw wine with aromas of peach and citrus fruits, and a crisp palate well balanced by just a hint of creamy oak. Drink now, but could age 2 to 5 years.” Christa Deans REVIEWS Subtle and elegant to begin with apples and citrus and bath salts mixing into the aromatics before a straight and steady line of fl avour, some grassiness and nutlike character from French oak treatment giving balance and a completeness and smoothness in the finish. 92 Points Australia's top 100 wines cellar@rolfbinder. |

| Tasting Notes fro the winery: Semillon ripens easily in our vineyard, producing small intensely flavoured berries with trademark lemon citrus flavour, lemon peel and a waxy edge. A short spell in neutral French aak barriques has added texture and richness to the finely structured palate. My Gat Goose enjoys life on Goose Island in the large dam at the bottom of the Semillon vineyard. The fruit was hand-picked to minimize fruit damage, then chilled to 10-15o, the juice separated and skins pressed. After Bentonite fining and coarse earth filtering, the wine spent 3 months in old French Oak Barriques. |

Hunter Semillon should be a staple on every wine list, but it's still under-performing, which is surprising when wines like this are so good every year. The Brokenwood team has created another fresh, lemon-accented offering with enough zest and acidity to take any SB head-on; 91/100; Tyson Stelzer WBM100
Aromas of lime, lemongrass and green melon with some floral character. Nice and fresh. On the palate sweet lime and lemon fruit with a little grassiness. It is juicy and approachable rather than austere and has an attractive lightly chalky texture and crunchy green apple acidity. Finishes dry and clean leaving the mouth feeling refreshed. Invigorated even. This is great now and possibly a little better later. Rated : 94 Points; Alcohol : 11%; Drink : 2007 - 2015; Gary Walsh; Winorama |

Pale straw in colour with bright green hues the 2007 Classic Dry White combines fresh citrus notes of Semillon with lifted gooseberry aromas of Sauvignon Blanc. The palate is zesty, vibrant and seamless with a pristine purity of fruit flavour and intensity – classic Margaret River Semillon Sauvignon Blanc.
2007 was a short, warm vintage which allowed all varieties to ripen earlier than usual. Constant monitoring of the sugar and acid levels during harvest times ensured that full ripe fruit flavours and crisp fresh acid characters were captured |

The 2007 Pierro LTC has restrained fragrances of fresh garden herbs, is bright and vibrant on the palate with intense grassy flavours, which persist. There is finesse and delicacy combined with richness as well with an appealing mouth feel, and crisp, cleansing acidity, which gives it a long, dry finish. Its tightness of structure and past history suggest that it will evolve slowly and show complexity and subtle flavours with time in the bottle. Pierro LTC, a blend of Semillon, Sauvignon blanc and a little touch of chardonnay which in the early days 'was known as Les Trois Cuvées', owes much of its freshness to the production regime. The grapes are chilled to 5°C and loaded into the press at that temperature for whole bunch pressing. This refinement of the process means that the resulting wines are more delicate and less phenolic than previously and have improved mouth feel and greater length of flavour.
The wine's complexity and its ability to age also owes much to the winemaking process as about ten different components are blended to achieve the finished wine. All the sauvignon is fermented in stainless steel; some of the semillon is barrel fermented; the chardonnay is sometimes fermented in stainless steel and sometimes in oak; a component undergoes the malolactic fermentation while some does not; different yeasts are used for different batches; some batches are fermented at warmer and some at cooler temperatures. |
